I imagine most of you have seen the news this week that the president of Haiti, Jovenel Moise, was assassinated in his home and his wife Martine Moise was injured and has been flown to the US for treatment.

This is a very sad and tragic day for Haiti. There is much uncertainty regarding who will step in to lead the country. Many are concerned this will plunge Haiti into further chaos and loss of security. Please continue to pray for Haiti, it’s government and it’s people.

We have heard from some of our friends on the mainland and they are sheltering in place and praying for peace. As for La Source, their distance from Port au Prince is a blessing at a time like this. We will continue to communicate with friends in the community to stay informed as best we can of the situation there.

With our Walk By Faith Child Sponsorship program, uncertainty on the mainland can interrupt the normal flow of supplies to the island. We are committed to continuing to provide food for the school children. We are continue to help provide food for 5 schools with 200+ children.
